The AI visibility (GEO/AEO) tools market is taking shape fast, and part of it is playing out in France. This landscape compares, on verifiable criteria, the tools that matter to an agency auditing its clients' presence in generative AIs — no complacent ranking.
July 2026 update
This comparison has been enriched to better distinguish providers, individual models and technical integrations — three notions often blurred together across GEO tools. Data on Qwairy's MCP integration has been refreshed from their official documentation. We also added a visible methodology, more detailed platform profiles, and a decision guide by agency profile.
How did we compare these platforms?
Every row in the table comes from an official source (vendor site or documentation), verified on July 17, 2026. Three important clarifications:
- Provider, interface and model are not the same thing: a provider (e.g. OpenAI) can expose several interfaces (ChatGPT web, API) and several models (GPT-4o, GPT-4o mini…). Comparing a provider count to a model count paints a distorted picture — that is precisely the mistake this comparison fixes.
- Figures are self-declared by each vendor, not measured by an independent third party. More models does not automatically mean better analysis: scoring depth matters as much as coverage breadth.
- Features can depend on the subscribed plan, and pricing and capabilities move fast in this emerging market.
Transparency: this comparison is published by AI Labs Audit, which is one of the solutions analysed. Criteria, definitions and sources are laid out above so every claim can be verified independently.
The players
Several families of tools coexist in this market. On the French side: AI Labs Audit, Qwairy and Hikoo. On the European side, the German player Peec AI (Berlin, heavily funded). On the US side, Profound and Otterly AI, which we already covered in our 8-platform comparison. This article focuses on what matters to an agency: white-label, real coverage, hosting and reliability.

The profiles, in detail
Qwairy (France)
Positioning: a full GEO platform (monitoring, content, analysis), with an explicit white-label offer for agencies (dashboards under your brand, isolated client workspaces). It is the closest French competitor to AI Labs Audit on the agency segment.
Strengths: dual collection method (web-interface simulation for 7 "core models", official API calls for 33 "premium models", ≈40 models total across 8 documented providers); an MCP server in production with 41 tools across 10 categories, compatible with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code; a Content Studio for content production.
Known limits: pricing and advanced features (backlink marketplace, shopping-mention tracking) not compared here for lack of sufficient hindsight; no documented hallucination detection.
Ideal use case: an agency or team wanting comprehensive GEO monitoring with API/MCP control and integrated content production.
Sources: models and credits documentation, MCP documentation. Verified 2026-07-17. Free tier, then paid from ~€79/mo at publication time.
Hikoo (France, French Tech Grand Paris)
Positioning: an "AI Visibility" tool focused on auditing and mention tracking, with a free audit and no signup.
Strengths: accessibility (no signup required for a first audit), ease of use.
Known limits: aimed rather at brands and small structures; no documented white-label offer; coverage of 2 to 7 engines depending on plan, no public detail on collection method.
Ideal use case: a brand or small structure wanting a quick first diagnosis, with no white-label need.
Peec AI (Germany, Berlin)
Positioning: an AI search analytics tool backed by a major funding round, adopted by large brands. Not French.
Strengths: traction with large brands, significant funding.
Known limits: tracks around 6 engines (Claude and extended models reserved for the Enterprise tier), non-public pricing, white-label not documented.
Ideal use case: a large account already in the Peec AI ecosystem, or looking for an established European player outside France.
AI Labs Audit (France)
Positioning: the French GEO/AEO visibility platform, white-label for agencies and consultants, that audits how brands appear across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, over more than 300 models, with hallucination detection, an MCP server (235 tools) and EU hosting.
Strengths: coverage of more than 300 models verified live on our connected catalogue; quantified hallucination detection (invented URLs, fabricated facts); AGS multi-judge anti-drift scoring; open AQA standard; MCP server with 235 tools; agency white-label.
Limits: a young market where Qwairy and Hikoo also offer solid French tools, each with a different angle — see the decision guide below.
Ideal use case: an agency that needs to audit and deliver under its own brand, at scale, with control over answer reliability.
Where AI Labs Audit fits
In this landscape, several points set AI Labs Audit apart at publication time, all verifiable:
- Coverage: more than 300 models queried (catalogue verified live), versus around forty or fewer for the other tools in the panel.
- Agency white-label: publicly exposed, as with Qwairy — but not documented for Hikoo and Peec AI.
- Hallucination detection: AI Labs Audit adds a reliability-scoring layer to distinguish a mere brand mention from a presence grounded in coherent, verifiable information — an angle none of the other three advertise. We quantified it in our study on URLs invented by models.
- Technical openness: an MCP server with 235 tools (your own AIs operate the platform) and an open standard, AQA — unique to AI Labs Audit in this comparison.
These differences disqualify no one: both Qwairy and Hikoo are solid French tools, and Peec AI is a serious European player. Our methodology is public, and the agencies offer details the white-label.
Which solution should you choose?
- Agency delivering white-label audits at scale, with a reliability requirement: AI Labs Audit — broad coverage, hallucination detection, AQA standard.
- Small structure or brand wanting a free first diagnosis with no signup: Hikoo.
- Team wanting to drive GEO monitoring via API/MCP with integrated content production: Qwairy — dual interface + API collection, Content Studio.
- Large account already in the Peec AI ecosystem, or looking for an established European player outside France: Peec AI.
- Technical team wanting to drive audits via API and MCP with deep reliability control: AI Labs Audit or Qwairy, depending on whether the priority is answer reliability (AI Labs Audit) or content-ecosystem depth (Qwairy).
None of these recommendations are universal: the right choice depends on your specific need, budget and GEO/AEO maturity.
Frequently asked questions
What are the French GEO/AEO tools?
Among the AI visibility tools published in France are AI Labs Audit, Qwairy and Hikoo. Peec AI, often cited in the same category, is German (Berlin). Profound and Otterly AI are American.
Which GEO tool offers agency white-label?
At publication time, AI Labs Audit and Qwairy publicly expose an agency white-label offer (dashboards and deliverables under the agency's brand). Hikoo and Peec AI do not document this feature.
What sets AI Labs Audit apart from the other French tools?
Several verifiable points: coverage of more than 300 models (versus around forty or fewer elsewhere), agency white-label, hallucination detection (invented URLs, fabricated facts), and technical openness (MCP server with 235 tools + open AQA standard).
Is Peec AI a French tool?
No. Peec AI is published in Berlin (Germany) and raised significant funding. The clearly French GEO/AEO tools are AI Labs Audit, Qwairy and Hikoo.
What is the difference between GEO, AEO and AI Visibility?
These are three labels for the same territory: optimising and measuring a brand's presence in generative AI answers (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity...). GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) are the most used among European vendors; "AI Visibility" is an equivalent, more descriptive term.
What is the difference between API and MCP for a GEO tool?
An API lets your own code query the platform (classic automation). An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server lets an AI agent (Claude, ChatGPT...) query the platform directly in natural language, with no intermediate code. Both are complementary; few GEO tools offer both today.
Does a higher model count guarantee better results?
Not mechanically. Broad coverage reduces the risk of bias from a single model, but analysis reliability also depends on the scoring method, error (hallucination) detection, and data freshness. Coverage and reliability are two distinct criteria to evaluate together.
